audience Mood Board
For the target audience mood board I used a few social media
logos to show that my target audience is a young audience who use social media.
I also used a few images of indie bands and their album covers like Jamie T to
show that the audience I hope to target like to be independent and different than
everyone else. On my mood board I also included a picture of someone
skateboarding, a skate brand and a picture of a man holding middle finger
trophies to show that some of my target audience are rebellious and don’t
listen to the rules. I also used indie fest the indie image in the middle and
an indie magazine to further show that my magazine will be about indie artists.
The magazine I am making is going to be a rebellious indie
magazine which will attract a wide audience of young adults between 16 and 24
which will be both male and female. The audience which I hope to attract will
also be different and like different things compared to the mainstream music
audience and may contain articles which other magazine companies wouldn’t use
in their products.
Advertisers
Mood Board
Advertising is a key revenue stream for magazines I had to
think carefully about what companies I would choose to advertise in my
magazines. I had to carefully select the brands to advertise based on my target
audience because there is no reason to advertise things like funeral homes in a
kids magazine.
For my advertising mood board I used a few tech companies
like Apple, Samsung and Microsoft since my target audience is young and they
would be interested in the best and latest technology. I also used a lot of
mobile companies and social media websites because most young people use
mobiles and they go on websites like YouTube and Facebook daily so that would
interest them. I used a few drinks companies like Mountain Dew, Red Bull and Dr
Pepper since most young adults like energy drinks and fizzy drinks. My mood
board also features a few skateboarding brands since my audience is rebellious
they may like the clothing from these brands like thrasher. I also used the
music shop HMV and indie fest and Indie radio since these all would interest
anyone who would read an indie magazine.
